Prior to joining Dutton Brock in 2021, James acted in both insurance defence litigation and class proceedings. James has successfully argued for his clients at multiple levels of court in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal. James has a passion for litigation and practices in a wide range of insurance defence matters, including commercial general liability tort, complex product liability, general negligence, motor vehicle, professional negligence, and coverage disputes.

James completed both his Bachelor of Arts, Honours and Juris Doctor Degrees at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He also received a Certificate of International Business Law at the Bader International Study Centre.
